The Luigi Berardinelli printing and print-publishing firm was founded in 1971, a result of Berardinelli’s enthusiasm for art which was then passing through a particular moment of creative activity.
From the very beginning it was obvious that the firm would be concerned exclusively with contemporary art, would work together with artists involved, and would make use of all those techniques best adapted to their work: silk-screening, lithography, and etching.
This resulted in the first prints by artists concerned with various interests: abstraction, constructivism, conceptualism, the trans-avant-garde, Pop etc.
At the same time the firm began to make its own editions better-known by taking part in various national and international art fairs: Saga, Paris; Artefiera, Bologna; Kunst Messe, Düsseldorf; Sollentuna, Stockholm; and LOPF .
Among the numerous important artists it has worked with, mention should be made of Piero Dorazio, Mario Schifano, Joseph Beuys, Nan June Paik, Mimmo Rotella, Mimmo Paladino, Enzo Cucchi, Sandro Chia, Joe Tilson, Jim Dine, and, in collaboration with the Archivio Conz, Hermann Nitsch and many other Fluxus artists.
